This book explored the origins of ingredients found in most processed foods - the Twinkie being chosen for it's typical ingredient label and because it is so well known. The author was funny as well as informative, and it was a quick and interesting read. I had no idea where polysorbate 60 among many other common ingredients came from before reading this, and I would recommend it to anyone with an interest in nutrition or food science.
